How to monitor PDF changes for updates

Monity.ai allows you to track changes in PDF documents with ease. Follow these steps to configure a monitoring task for your PDF files.

Create a new task

  • Go to your Workspace Dashboard.

  • Click on the New task button to open the monitoring task creation page.

 Enter the PDF URL 

  • In the Create new task screen, input the URL of the PDF document you want to monitor.
  • Click Go to load the PDF preview.

Preview the PDF

  • Once the PDF has been loaded, preview the document to ensure it is correct.

Configure monitoring dettings

  1. Task name: Provide a clear, descriptive name for your task (e.g., “Financial Report”).
  2. Frequency: Choose how often you want Monity to check for changes (e.g., every 3 hours).
  3. Change threshold: Specify the sensitivity of changes you want to monitor (e.g., “Any change, small change etc”).
  4. Compare type:
    • Visual changes can only be monitored with pdf document
  5. Task label: Add a label to categorize the task (e.g., “Reports” or “Documents”).

Save and start monitoring

  • Once all settings are configured, click Create task to begin monitoring the PDF.

Monity will now track changes and send alerts based on your selected criteria.

Important notes

  • Monity can monitor up to the first 10 pages of a PDF document.
