Quick start guide

Get your first monitor running in about five minutes. This guide covers creating your account and choosing the right plan — then points you to the next steps. No code, no CSS selectors, nothing to install.

1. Create your account

Head to app.monity.ai and sign up in whichever way is quickest for you:

  • Continue with Google — one click, no password to remember.
  • Sign up with email — enter your email and a password, and you’re in.

There’s nothing to download and no credit card required to get started.

2. Choose your account type

When you sign up, you’ll pick the account that fits how you’ll use Monity:

  • Personal — perfect for individuals keeping an eye on a few pages: price drops, restocks, appointment slots, a wishlist, or a page you check by hand today.
  • Business — built for teams who need more monitors, collaboration, and the advanced capabilities like browser actions and data extraction. Business comes with a free trial, so you can put the full feature set to work before you commit.

Not sure? Start with Personal and upgrade any time — your monitors come with you.

3. Create your first monitor

From your dashboard, start a new monitor and simply describe what you want to watch in plain English, for example:

“Notify me when the price on this page drops below £300.”

Monity’s AI turns your description into a working monitor — no selectors to pick, no rules to configure. Paste in the page URL, confirm what matters, and you’re watching.

Want the detailed walkthrough? See Creating Your First Monitor.

4. Decide how you want to be alerted

Choose where Monity should reach you when something changes:

  • Email
  • Slack, Microsoft Teams, or Discord
  • Webhook or API (to plug into your own systems)
  • Push notifications on the Monity mobile app (iOS and Android)

Every alert arrives with the change highlighted, a screenshot, and an AI summary of what changed and why it matters — so you can act without re-checking the page yourself.

5. You’re set

That’s it — Monity is now watching for you, around the clock, and will only interrupt you when something meaningful changes.

Where to go next:

  • Creating Your First Monitor — the full step-by-step walkthrough
  • AI Prompt Best Practices — write prompts that produce precise, low-noise alerts
  • Authentication & Cookies — monitor pages behind a login
  • Webhook Integration — send change data into your own tools

Welcome to Monity. Tell it what matters once — and never miss it again.
