Frequently asked
Questions, answered.
What is competitor monitoring software?
Competitor monitoring software watches your competitors’ websites — pricing pages, changelogs, careers pages, status pages, marketing copy — and alerts your team when something changes. Monity does this with AI: you describe in plain English what to watch, and we generate the monitor, the alert condition, and the routing rules.
Can I monitor pages behind login?
Monity supports authenticated monitoring via stored credentials or session cookies — useful for paywalled news, internal partner portals, or G2 review pages that require sign-in.
How quickly will I get an alert when something changes?
Median time-to-alert is under 5 minutes. The minimum check frequency depends on your plan: 12 hours on Free (Basic), down to 15 minutes on most Personal and Business tiers, 5 minutes on Personal Large and Business Large+, and 1 minute on Enterprise. For mission-critical pages (e.g. competitor product launches) we recommend 5-minute checks routed to a dedicated Slack channel.
What if a competitor's site is rendered with JavaScript?
Monity’s crawler renders JavaScript by default — including pages that lazy-load content, use single-page-application routing, or hydrate from APIs. You don’t need to configure anything.
How much does competitor monitoring cost?
Free (Basic): $0 — 3 monitors, 50 checks/month, 12-hour cadence. Personal: from $10/mo (yearly) for 1,000 checks and 20 monitors. Business: from $25/mo (yearly) for 1,000 checks and 30 monitors, with Slack, Teams, Discord, Sheets and webhook delivery. Enterprise: custom — SSO/SAML, 1-minute cadence, custom SLA and DPA. See the pricing page for the full slider.
