Visualping alternatives in 2026: six tools compared, and our pick

Six Visualping alternatives compared on price, check speed and alert channels, why we pick Monity for most teams, and the one case where Visualping is still faster.

Visualping alternatives in 2026: six tools compared, and our pick

Visualping is the best-known website change monitor, and it does the basics well. Teams usually start looking elsewhere for three reasons: Slack, Microsoft Teams and Google Sheets alerts only come with its Business plans (from $140/mo, or $1,200 a year), its plans cap the number of pages (10 on Personal 1K), and some teams want fewer alerts about changes nobody needed to see.

We make Monity, so this guide leads with it and says why. Every price and limit below comes from each vendor’s own pricing page, checked in October 2026. Prices change, so check before you buy.

Our pick for most teams: Monity

Monity watches the pages you give it and tells you when the change you described happens. Four things set it apart from Visualping:

  • You say what matters in a sentence. “Tell me when the price of any plan changes” or “when a sub-processor is added” is the whole setup. When the page changes, AI checks the change against your sentence and ignores noise such as cookie banners.
  • It shows you what it will compare before the first alert. A few minutes after you save, Monity’s AI opens the page and confirms what it reads: the price of each plan, every item in a list, a table. Every check then compares those items one by one, so an alert names the plan or the item that changed.
  • Every alert channel is on every plan, Free included. Slack, Teams, Google Sheets, Telegram, Discord, email, webhooks and push notifications in the iOS and Android apps. On Visualping, Slack, Teams and Google Sheets need a Business plan.
  • More pages for the same money. At $10/mo billed yearly, Monity Personal 1k watches 20 pages and Visualping Personal 1K watches 10. The gap holds on every Personal tier (50 against 20, then 100 against 40), while Visualping checks those pages more often.

What a Monity alert gives you

Alerts link to the check behind them: the screenshot, the page before and after, the text that changed and an AI summary in plain words, for a pricing page something like “Pro went from $49 to $59 per seat”. When the setup verification found a list or a table, the Data view marks each row New, Removed or Changed, with the old value struck through next to the new one.

Monity’s Data view for a list of news stories: 30 items, 4 marked New and 4 marked Removed, with a Changes only filter
The Data view of one check: what was added and what disappeared, item by item.

Pages behind a login or a cookie wall work too: before each check Monity can accept cookies, sign in and click through to the right tab. Saved browser sessions (Devices) come with every paid plan and the Business trial, and free accounts can sign in through the live browser.

Price: Personal starts at $10/mo billed yearly ($12 monthly) for 1,000 checks a month and 20 tasks. Business starts at $25/mo billed yearly ($35 monthly), and Business 10k, with 10,000 checks a month, 100 tasks and 5 seats, is $50/mo billed yearly or $70 monthly. Every alert channel is on every plan, every tier is on the pricing page, and there’s a 7-day Business trial with no card. For a feature-by-feature view, see Monity vs Visualping.

Visualping and Monity plans at the same price

Both price by checks per month, and the yearly prices line up tier for tier. What differs is how many pages each plan watches, the seats on the team plan, and how often the pages are checked.

Billed yearly Visualping Monity
$10/mo Personal 1K: 1,000 checks, 10 pages, every 15 min Personal 1k: 1,000 checks, 20 tasks, hourly
$25/mo Personal 5K: 5,000 checks, 20 pages, every 5 min Personal 5k: 5,000 checks, 50 tasks, every 15 min
$50/mo Personal 10K: 10,000 checks, 40 pages, every 2 min Personal 10k: 10,000 checks, 100 tasks, every 5 min
$100/mo Business 20K: 20,000 checks, 200 pages, 5 users, every 2 min Business 20k: 20,000 checks, 200 tasks, 7 seats, every 5 min

Monity also has a team plan below that level: Business starts at $25/mo billed yearly ($35 monthly) with 1,000 checks and 30 tasks, and Slack, Teams and Google Sheets alerts work on every tier, including Free.

The other alternatives, briefly

Distill.io

Distill started as a browser extension and still leans into it, with extensions for Chrome and Firefox and a free plan of 25 monitors, 5 of them in the cloud. Starter is $15/month for 50 monitors checked every 10 minutes, and Flexi starts at $80/month with checks every 2 minutes. See Monity vs Distill.io.

How Monity compares: no extension or open browser needed, and the change is a sentence instead of a selector or a macro.

changedetection.io

A fully open-source project you can run on your own server, with a hosted plan that watches up to 5,000 URLs, uses a real Chrome browser for JavaScript pages and supports over 85 notification types. You tune it with trigger text, CSS/xPath rules and ignore lists. See Monity vs changedetection.io.

How Monity compares: nothing to host, and no selectors to write: you describe the change in a sentence.

Wachete

Wachete has the lowest entry price here: Starter is $5.40/month billed monthly for 50 static pages checked hourly, with no limit on the number of checks, 12 months of history and apps for iOS, Android and Windows. Pages it treats as dynamic (JavaScript) have a much smaller allowance: 1 on Starter, 2 on Standard, 10 on Premium. See Monity vs Wachete.

How Monity compares: every task runs in a real browser and counts the same, whether the page is static or built with JavaScript.

ChangeTower

ChangeTower includes extra team members from its first paid plan (1 on Lite, 3 on Essential, 5 on Business) and AI monitoring on every monitor. Checks are daily on Lite and hourly on Essential and Business; Lite is $12/mo for 25 pages.

How Monity compares: checks every 15 minutes from Personal 5k and Business 1k, and every 5 minutes from Personal 10k and Business 20k.

Hexowatch

Hexowatch watches more kinds of change than most tools: visual, content, keyword, technology stack, HTML, availability, price and WHOIS. Pro is shown as $24.17/mo with $290 billed upon purchase for 4,500 checks a month, and no free plan is listed. See Monity vs Hexowatch.

How Monity compares: a free plan, and webhooks, the REST API and every alert channel on every plan; Hexowatch lists API and webhooks from Business+.

Moving from Visualping to Monity

  1. List the pages you watch and, for each one, the change you actually care about.
  2. Create a task per page and write that change as a sentence. Business accounts can paste many rows at once with Import tasks.
  3. Send alerts to the same places as today: Slack, Teams, email, a webhook or Google Sheets.
  4. Run both for a week and keep the tool whose alerts you actually read.

One honest note: if you need a page checked every 2 minutes on a single-user plan, Visualping’s Personal 10K is faster ($70/mo, or $600/yr). Monity’s fastest checks are every 5 minutes (Personal 10k, Business 20k and up), and every minute on Enterprise.

You can also try our free before-and-after comparison and text diff tools on any page first.
