Record it

Do the steps once in a real browser. Monity repeats them before every check.

Open the live browser on the task and do what a person would: accept the cookie banner, open the tab, choose the filter. Monity turns what you did into steps, and every check runs them first and captures the page as it looks after them.

Point at an element, choose the action, put the steps in order.

Add steps one by one and point each at an element in the page preview, or type a CSS selector. Click, type, choose from a list, hover, wait, scroll, reload, act inside an embedded frame, or remove an element before the capture.

Text Script

Click things by the words on them.

Write clicks as plain commands, one per line, such as click 'Accept all' or click button 'Yearly'. Monity finds the element by its text on every check, even when the page’s code changes, which makes it the quickest way past cookie banners and tabs.

Questions about Browser Actions

What can browser actions do?
Click, type, choose an option from a list, hover, wait, scroll, reload, act inside an embedded frame, remove an element, inject your own JavaScript or CSS, and click elements by their text with Text Script. They run before every check, in order.
Do I have to write selectors?
No. Record the steps in the live browser, or point at elements in the page preview. Text Script clicks by the words on a button. You can still type a CSS selector when you want to be exact.
How do I monitor a page behind a login?
Usually by signing in once in the live browser: Monity keeps that session for its checks, so you don’t need steps to log in. If you prefer steps, a Type step can fill the form, and a password typed there is kept private.
What if a step can’t find its element?
Each step keeps fallbacks, such as the element’s text, its link and a fingerprint of it, and Monity tries them in turn when the original element can’t be found. Every check’s screenshot stays in the task’s history, so you can see what it captured.
