Credits for datasets

Datasets use the same credits as your tasks, from the dataset’s workspace: 1 credit = 1 check. A run pays for the pages it opens, and a little more for each page an AI read step reads. Building the steps and trying them with Run to here is free.

Early access

Datasets are in early access. If your account doesn’t have them yet, open Datasets in the app and click Ask for early access, or write to us through the contact page.

What a run costs

A run… Credits
Opens a page: each input’s address, a Go to, a click that opens a page, each move of Next page, and each item’s page that For each item opens. A list page with 50 rows is one page. A redirect or a reload the site does by itself is part of the same page. 1
Reads a page with an AI read step, on top of the page. +5
Uses a saved login, for each started minute. 2
Runs a Run code step, or finds a step’s element another way when the page changed. Free
Reads a site’s sitemap and links for Find pages. Each page it finds and the steps open is a page, at 1 credit. Free

Setting a dataset up costs nothing: Run to here and signing in to a site in the Live Browser from Settings are free. A run is never charged more than 2,000 credits.

For example, a dataset that reads a blog’s list of articles over 4 pages, with no For each item, costs 4 credits a run: about 120 a month when it runs every day. With For each item, each item’s page adds 1 credit; when the dataset has a row key, an item opened in the last 7 days isn’t opened again until a week has passed, so routine runs open only the new items.

See the cost before it runs

A dataset’s Settings tab has a Cost card: the most a run can cost, line by line, from the steps and the limits, and what that comes to in a month on its schedule. Once the dataset has run, it also says what its last runs were charged, often less than the most. Each run’s credits are under Checks on the Runs tab and in the run’s record.

The Cost card: Up to 10 checks a run, up to 300 a month, every day; List pages 10, AI read 0 (+5 a page, not used here); and Its last runs were charged about 4 checks each

The Limits on Settings bound a run: its pages, rows and minutes. While a run goes, Monity holds the credits it may need, and gives back what it doesn’t use when the run ends.

Which credits a run uses

A run uses the credits of the dataset’s workspace, the same ones your tasks, uptime monitors and browser tests use. See Credits and plans for your plan’s monthly credits and when they renew.

When there are none left

A run doesn’t start when its workspace has too few credits left to begin, at least 1 for each input (6 with an AI read step). An account admin can choose a larger plan on the Plans page, or you can wait for the plan’s monthly credits to renew.
