How to view detected changes in tasks

Monity.ai allows you to review and analyze all detected changes on your monitored pages. Follow these steps to access and interpret the details of detected changes.

 Access the task

  • From your Workspace Dashboard, locate and select the task you want to review. This will open a panel on the right side with detailed information about the monitored page.

View change history

  • In the right panel, you’ll see a Summary Table that lists all previous checks and detected changes for the selected task.
  • Click on any entry in this summary table to view the specific changes detected during that check.

Analyze changes

When you open a change record, you’ll see a comparison view that highlights the detected updates.

  • Side-by-side view: Displays the previous and new versions of the page side by side for easy comparison.
  • Overlay view (default): Shows the latest version of the monitored page overlaid on the previous version, with differences highlighted in red.

Customize the view

  • Disable overlay: To remove the red overlay highlighting the changes, click the Disable overlay button.

Understand change types

Depending on the monitoring settings chosen when creating the task, the change display will vary:

  • Text monitoring: If specific keywords are being monitored, only those keywords are highlighted when added or removed.
  • Element monitoring: This mode tracks visual changes within a specified HTML element on the page, focusing only on that section. When you select an element to monitor, Monity captures changes exclusively within that selected area. This is useful for tracking specific data fields, such as prices or descriptions, without triggering alerts for unrelated changes elsewhere on the page. B

Share changes

  • To share detected changes, use the Share options located at the bottom of the panel. You can share via SMS, Email, or by copying a shareable link.
