Hexowatch watches more kinds of change than most monitors: visual, content, keyword, technology stack, HTML, availability, price and WHOIS changes, plus sitemap monitoring. People start looking elsewhere for narrower reasons: no free plan is listed, API and webhook access only arrive on Business+, and residential proxies cost extra through premium credits.
We make Monity, so this guide leads with it and says why. Every price and limit on this page comes from each vendor’s own pricing page, checked in October 2026. Prices change, so check before you buy.
What Hexowatch gives you today
- Pro: $29/mo billed monthly after a 7-day free trial, or $290 billed yearly (shown as $24.17/mo). 4,500 checks a month, checks at most every 15 min, sitemap monitoring every 6h, and access to all monitoring types.
- Business: $55/mo billed monthly, or $550 billed yearly (shown as $45.83/mo). 10,000 checks a month, checks at most every 5 min, sitemap monitoring every 3h, server location and integrations.
- Business+: $99.99/mo billed monthly, with 25,000 checks a month and API/Webhooks. The yearly figures on the pricing page didn’t agree with each other when we checked, so we’ve left them out.
- Enterprise: a tailored plan with onboarding, team training and a dedicated strategy consultant.
- Residential proxies need premium credits, an optional add-on. No free plan is listed.
Our pick for page content: Monity
If most of what you watch is what a page says (prices, plans, policies, listings), Monity is the tool we’d choose:
- A free plan, and the API and webhooks on every plan. Monity’s free plan has 3 tasks and 100 checks a month. Signed webhooks, the REST API and the MCP server come with every account, where Hexowatch lists API and webhooks from Business+ ($99.99/mo).
- One sentence instead of a monitor type. Write the change you care about and AI checks every change against it, ignoring noise such as cookie banners.
- Setup verified by AI. A few minutes after you save, its AI confirms what it reads on the page, entry by entry, so the alert names what changed.
- Every channel on every plan. Slack, Microsoft Teams, Google Sheets, Telegram, Discord, email, webhooks and the iOS and Android apps.

Want to see it on your own pages first?
Send us the pages you check by hand. We set up the monitors, confirm they read the right thing and email you the first result, usually within a business day. Free, no account, no card.

What a Monity alert gives you
Alerts include an AI summary of what changed and open the check behind them: the screenshot, the page before and after and every text change. You choose where each task’s alerts go, and every channel below is on every plan.

Pages behind a login or a cookie wall work too: before each check Monity can accept cookies, sign in and click through to the right tab. Saved browser sessions (Devices) come with every paid plan and the Business trial, and free accounts can sign in through the live browser.
Price: Personal starts at $10/mo billed yearly ($12 monthly) for 1,000 checks a month and 20 tasks. Business starts at $25/mo billed yearly ($35 monthly), and Business 10k, with 10,000 checks a month, 100 tasks and 5 seats, is $50/mo billed yearly or $70 monthly. Every alert channel is on every plan, every tier is on the pricing page, and there’s a 7-day Business trial with no card. For the head-to-head, see Monity vs Hexowatch.
Which Hexowatch monitors move to Monity
Hexowatch sets up a separate monitor per type of change. In Monity you choose how a page is compared (Auto, Visual, Element, Text or HTML) and describe what counts in a sentence, so several Hexowatch monitors on one page usually become one task.
| Hexowatch monitor | In Monity |
|---|---|
| Visual | Visual mode: a screenshot of the area you draw, the full page or the first screens |
| Content and keyword | Text mode, keyword rules, or a condition in plain English checked by AI |
| Price | A condition such as “the price drops below $200”, or a number read from the page |
| HTML | HTML mode |
| Technology stack, availability, WHOIS, sitemap | Not offered: keep Hexowatch or another tool for these |
A sentence also tells Monity what counts, which is where most of the noise goes. When your condition is about prices, a cookie banner or a reworded paragraph doesn’t send an alert; a new price does. On a list or a table, the alert names the row that was added, removed or changed, with the old value next to the new one.
The other alternatives, briefly
Visualping
Visualping includes visual, text and element change detection, unlimited AI change summaries with an important-or-not flag, and actions such as logging in or clicking before a check, on every plan. Its REST API and MCP server come with every plan, and email, webhooks, Telegram and n8n alerts are on all plans. Slack, Teams and Google Sheets alerts are on Business plans only.
How Monity compares: the same API and MCP access, plus Slack, Teams and Sheets on every plan.
Distill.io
Distill.io has browser extensions for Chrome and Firefox and a free plan with 25 monitors, 5 of them in the cloud. Starter is $15/month for 50 monitors with checks every 10 minutes, and Flexi starts at $80/month with checks every 2 minutes.
How Monity compares: everything runs in the cloud, and the condition is a sentence rather than a selector.
changedetection.io
A fully open-source project you can host yourself. The hosted plan watches up to 5,000 URLs, includes a real Chrome browser for JavaScript pages and proxies in Europe, the USA and Tor, and supports over 85 notification types.
How Monity compares: nothing to host or tune, and setup verification by AI instead of hand-written filters.
Wachete
Wachete watches pages around the clock in the cloud. Starter is $5.40/month billed monthly for 50 static pages checked every 60 minutes, and every plan has no limit on the number of checks, 12 months of history and text inside PDF, DOC, DOCX and XLSX files. Pages it treats as dynamic have a much smaller allowance.
How Monity compares: JavaScript pages count the same as any other, and the alert is tied to the change you described.
ChangeTower
ChangeTower includes extra team members from its first paid plan (1 on Lite, 3 on Essential, 5 on Business), AI monitoring on every monitor and a 5-day free trial on paid plans. Lite is $12/mo for 25 pages checked every 24 hours.
How Monity compares: checks every 15 minutes from Personal 5k and Business 1k, and every 5 minutes from Personal 10k and Business 20k.
Moving your Hexowatch monitors
- List your Hexowatch monitors by type, and separate the page-content ones (visual, content, keyword, price) from the technology, WHOIS and availability ones.
- Recreate the page-content monitors first. In Monity you paste the URL and write each condition as a sentence; business accounts can paste many rows at once with Import tasks.
- Run both tools side by side for a few days and compare which alerts were actually useful.
- Keep Hexowatch for any monitor type Monity doesn’t cover, or turn it off once the new monitors have caught a real change.
Stay with Hexowatch if you need technology-stack, WHOIS or availability monitoring in the same tool as page content.
Before you move, our free text diff and before-and-after comparison tools are a quick way to see how a page changed.
